Under the aegis of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, the University President, along with the supervision of Women\u2019s Affairs Division Head, the University\u2019s Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division, in cooperation with Health and Medical Technologies Faculty and Continuous Education Center, organized a scientific workshop entitled \u201cBlood Draw Techniques\u201d, conducted by Ms. Zaman Ali Hashem.<\/p>

The workshop covered both theoretical and practical aspects of drawing blood, highlighting its significance as a crucial medical procedure for diagnostic purposes. Additionally, the discussion included venous blood collection and finger stick sampling, both of which are essential for performing laboratory tests that facilitate disease diagnosis, health monitoring, and the early detection of certain medical conditions.<\/p>

A primary focus of the workshop was the necessity of precision and care during blood collection to prevent errors that could result in inaccurate test outcomes, thereby impacting diagnosis and treatment. Furthermore, the workshop emphasized safety protocols to mitigate risks associated with improper procedures, particularly to prevent the transmission of blood-borne infections.<\/p>

Besides, participants were introduced to various types of blood samples utilized in laboratory testing, including whole blood, plasma, and serum, along with explanations of their respective roles in different medical analyses.<\/p>

The session encouraged active engagement from attendees, facilitating discussions on best practices to secure accuracy and safety in laboratory work. \n
