Al-Zahraa University for Women has accomplished an outstanding achievement in the UI Green Metric 2024 sustainable development rankings. Additionally, the University ranked 17th among Iraqi public and private universities and also secured 7th place among private universities. Furthermore, on the global level, it attained the 574th position, competing with 1,477 universities from 95 countries the world over.<\/p>\r\n

<\/p>\r\n

The UI Green Metric ranks universities based on the six main criteria as follows:<\/p>\r\n

<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 Campus work environment and infrastructure (15%)<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 Energy and climate change (21%)<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 Waste management (18%)<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 Water usage (10%)<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 Educational and academic programs, as well as research (18%)<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 Transportation systems within the campus (18%)<\/p>\r\n

<\/p>\r\n

It is noteworthy that Al-Zahraa University advanced by 155 positions globally and improved by 9 ranks nationally compared to previous year's 2023 rankings. This progress managed to shed light on the great efforts being deployed by the University in the fields of sustainability, infrastructure development, as well as the improvement of educational environment.<\/p>\r\n

<\/p>\r\n
