\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAs an initiative to welcome the new students and to establish early communication between them, the College of Education \/ Department of English at Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for women, in cooperation with the Department of Student Activities, held an introduction party for the academic year (2022-2023), on Sunday, 1\/22\/2023, at ten o\u2019clock in the morning, at the Umm Abiha Hall of the university. The event was attended by the president of the university, scientific and administrative assistants, the dean of the Faculty of Education, members of the English language department, and a large group of female students. The reception ceremony included several activities including: reciting verses from the Holy Quran (recited by a student named Maryam Malik),followed by the recitation of the national anthem, after which a speech was delivered by the president of the university Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani in which she warmly welcomed all the teachers and the students followed by a welcoming speech delivered by the professors: Prof. Dr. Iman Bahia\/ Dean of the College of Education, and Dr. Wafaa Abbas Sahn\/ Head of the English Department at the College of Education. The students: Janan Aqeel, Zahraa Ghanem, Zahraa Madloul, participated in motivational speeches that included situations from real life, and a student Fatima Jassim recited poetry in English. The ceremony concluded with a competition that consisted of a challenge in the English language for the audience making it interesting and a memorable event, it was presented by a professor from the department (M.
